Masala Chai is an aromatic tea that lures you in with its warmth and soothing spice aroma. In this tea you will taste notes of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and clove. Unlike many retail competitors, our loose leaf blend contains real ingredients.

Originally a traditional Indian spiced tea, this beverage was consumed in India by the reigning king as a healing Ayurvedic beverage. Depending on the region, Chai was served either hot or cold as a remedy for minor ailments, but did not contain black tea till the 1930s. In 1935 the British East India Company established a tea plantation in Assam in an attempt to reverse the overwhelming Chinese monopoly on the Tea Supply in Great Britain.  Because of the English love of black tea, they introduced black tea leaves into the combination of Indian spices, and created the Chai we know and love today.  

Though Chai is an amazing Tea with tons of benefits, there are still many that get this ancient combination wrong, or cut corners.  With Golden Chai we have kept all the original ingredients with an added premium black tea leaf

  • 95ºC water temperature
  • 4-6 minutes steeping time
  • 2-3 grams of tea
  • 250ml of water.
  • Add warm whole milk or nut milk and you can add honey for taste

The Organic Masala Chai is a good choice for getting you up in the morning due to its caffeine content and this due to the presence of black tea in Masala Chai. It also helps to regulate your digestive system and help to in a healthy gut. Ginger aids digestion by improving circulation and delivering oxygen to organs. The Ginger also reduces nausea. Masala Chai can help to alleviate common aches.  The Cloves used in the Chai has been used for over 2000 years as homeopathic remedy for minor pains such as toothaches. Cinnamon used in the Chai has been proven that helps with diabetes, bacteria and as a results helps in a better immune system.
